on September 18, 2017. Speaking on the Department of Labor’s new Fiduciary Duty Rule, Mr. Trigili will be providing his insight and advice on how firms and compliance officers can best prepare for the Rule’s January 2018 effective date.
Mr. Trigili is a seasoned compliance officer with over 25 years of experience in the industry. His primary function as GSS’ chief compliance officer is to identify, advise and report on the risks associated with a broker/dealer or investment advisor’s compliance program. A recurring speaker and panelist at industry conferences for over 12 years, Mr. Trigili’s focus is in identifying areas of vulnerability and risk, anti-money laundering policies and procedures, and utilizing technology to improve compliance and internal controls in the financial services sector.
Steve, a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, has been with GSS for over seven years. Previously, he worked on Wall Street, where he served as CCO of another national independent broker-dealer. His role at GSS offers him the opportunity to implement change on a large scale while at the same time work to improve and educate the industry as a whole through his commitment to professional education.
