Norwalk, CT, August 11, 2017 --(PR.com
)-- Best Friends Pet Hotels in Norwalk, Bethany, Rocky Hill, and Avon are fundraising for a local Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs event, Barks, Brews and BBQ, that will take place on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 2–6pm at 465 Riverside Ave., Westport, CT.
Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs, Inc. provides highly trained medical service dogs for wounded veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and/or physical disabilities. The organization is funded entirely by donations, fundraising efforts, and private foundation grant support. Dr. McFarland, former owner of local Norwalk Animal Hospital and current Regional Director for the Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs Connecticut Chapter, is hosting this event to kick-off the first Connecticut dog to be paired with a Connecticut veteran.
“Our team members are enthusiastic about uniting together to fundraise and make a donation to such a life-changing organization in the service dog industry,” said Corinne Tarullo, Connecticut Area Manager of Best Friends Pet Hotel.
Best Friends Pet Hotel customers can make a donation in-person at their nearest Connecticut location (Norwalk, Bethany, Rocky Hill, and Avon) between now and August 27th through fundraising efforts that include a weekly Doggy Day Camp raffle, monthly Boarding raffle, and dog-friendly bake sale treats.
