Hedley Productions Reports Votes for Good and Evil

New York, NY, September 01, 2017 --(PR.com)-- In a two-month campaign to determine who would win the eternal battle between good and evil, Hedley Production took bets on God or the Devil, and the results are surprising. By an overwhelming percent, evil triumphed. According to Benjamin Padua, Director of Hedley Productions, “We began this as fun game to raise funds for Hedley Production’s next project, the comedy feature Listen Carefully. As we watched the votes pour in, we realized the results have something to say about the world around us. Good was not beating out evil, but you can’t have one without the other.”

By almost three to one, the Devil received more votes than God, 55% to 20%. While God was ahead initially, the Devil soon pulled out. Hedley Productions’ creative team were surprised by the lopsided voting, having expected more of a neck-to-neck race to the end.

The voting took on more of a game quality as the write-in votes were tallied. Tied for 3rd place were the write-ins Nature and Hedley the Vulture, the mascot for Hedley Productions who many have met and followed as he travels across New York City in adventures posted on Instagram and Twitter.

Other write-in votes, averaging between ½% to 2%, were tossed in for public figures such as Daniel Tosh, Jimmy Fallon, Kevin Spacey, and Tom Cruise, as well as our fictional characters such as Luke Skywalker, the Easter Bunny, and Harambe the Gorilla.

The Good versus Evil crowdfund campaign made its final push at the Annual Mermaid Parade in Coney Island New York in late June. There, people came to the Hedley Productions booth to vote, meet Hedley, and meet the mermaids and other sea creatures that Hedley Production’s design team created.

When asked why Hedley Productions was doing this, Padua added “because this is America and here, we pick our idols and beliefs based on who we are told our idols and beliefs are.”

The voting website, www.votethewinner.net will be up through mid-September.

With support from the crowdfund, Hedley Productions has begun pre-production activities for Listen Carefully, with anticipated filming and release for 2018.
