Monotech Expands Portfolio; Boosts Installation Base

Chennai-based digital equipment specialist Monotech Systems announced their plan to expand their own manufactured portfolio with the launch of an inkjet label press in October.

Chennai, India, September 07, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The company which recently launched and installed its JetSci branded iMICR printer will also be adding a digital web press to their list of Monotech branded presses and equipment.

“We want to occupy a prominent position in the inkjet space and with that in mind we have expanded our portfolio with the soon-to-be launch of our label press for which we have partnered with Denmark’s Grafisk Maskinfabrik (GM) for their transport,” said T P Jain, managing director of Monotech.

“The focus so far was customised solution and we’d continue that strategy with the label press and also cater to the book publishers through a web press too,” he added.

The company has notched 100 installations of their JetSci inkjet systems including places like China, Philippines, Turkey, UAE and Kenya.

The company which revolutionised the digital enhancement market with the introduction of Scodix continue to taste success on that front too.

“This year we have completed three installations of the Scodix Ultra (PM Digitals added a second machine) and we are looking to finalise two more in the Delhi region soon. The commercial and packaging market continue to see tremendous value to Scodix and its possibilities,” said Jain.

The company has also been consistently performing in their CTP and post press segments with 75 and 100 installations respectively in each of the category this year so far.

“We have seen consistent performance from all our business portfolio including the CTP systems, be it basysPrint, Amsky, Cron or ECRM. Itotec cutting system and other digital finishing brands we represent are doing well too,” he said.

“At PrintExpo we are demonstrating our Mimaki latex printers which we I feel has a lot of potential considering it has the availability of white colour thereby making it possible to print on transparent surfaces,” added Jain.

The company’s focus on 3D printing also continues to grow in its role as a dealer and service provider.

“Though 3D printing market is still in its early stages, the response has been very encouraging with several new applications like Point of Sale (PoS) and theatre graphics being added to an already existing list of applications. We definitely see a brighter future for 3D printing and a niche space in the market too,” concluded Jain.
