Salon Owners Jack and Joelle Ray to Help Select Runway Models for "Strut" Fashion Show in Raleigh

Raleigh, NC, February 22, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Jack and Joelle Ray, the husband-and-wife team behind Samuel Cole Salon and Salon Moxie in North Raleigh, will help select the runway models for STRUT, a televised fashion show to be held in North Hills on May 3, 2008. The Rays’ salons were selected as “Official Salon” for the show, which means their stylists will create all of the hair and make up designs for the event.

Auditions for models will be held at The Mint on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh on March 4. STRUT organizers Brian Williams and Betzi Hekman say they will need over 30 men and women to model clothing and accessories by top designers with Raleigh “roots,” including Miranda Laughlin, Amy Stephenson, Guy Marshall, Elizabeth Yarborough and Holly Aiken. Several Raleigh-area boutiques will also participate in the show.

The Rays will be on hand at the auditions to make sure the models selected also offer opportunities for high-end hair designs.

Samuel Cole Salon (www.samuelcole.com) was featured this summer in both Salon Today and American Salon magazines and will be featured in an upcoming edition of Estetica, an Italian style magazine. It was named one of the Top Ten Hair Salons and it has been voted as one of the top salon’s in Citysearch's Best of the Triangle readers’ poll for several years. In 2006, it received Metro magazine’s “Metro Bravo” award for Best Salon in the Triangle.

Salon Moxie (www.salon-moxie.com) is a new concept from the Rays that offers an alternative to both high-end salons, like Samuel Cole, and “budget” shops.

Registration for the auditions will start at 7 p.m. For more information on STRUT and more details about the model auditions, contact Betzi Hekman at (804) 240-1901 or betzi@nvclothes.com.
