"Financial Fitness" Presented by MoneySense Education

On Wednesday, February 20th, 2008 MoneySense Education presented the second installment of their Fiscal Literacy Series offered to general consumers.

Pasadena, CA, February 23, 2008 --(PR.com)-- On Wednesday, February 20th, 2008 MoneySense Education presented the second installment of their Fiscal Literacy Series offered to general consumers.

MoneySense educator Colin Mackenzie, a Certified Financial Planner, presented what he has found in his personal practice to be the "Principles of Investing".

-Understand why you are doing what you are doing.
-Understand how long the investment needs to work for you
-Understand the different types of risk that your investment dollar is exposed to
-Learn the difference between short term events and long term relationships between different types of investment
-Set a policy for your investments
-Keep your investments and your focus long term
-Employ a coach/mentor
-Buy low - and - sell high

Each principle carries its own set of bullet points and explanations, with a big emphasis on understanding the risks of investing.
