Rubicon Estate First to Carry Emerging Nankeen Brand

Portsmouth, RI, February 23, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Nankeen is proud to announce the expansion of their cotton bags, totes, and accessory brand into select boutiques across the nation. Nankeen made its debut at Rubicon Estate in Rutherford, California in February.

Rubicon Estate, owned by Francis Ford and Eleanor Coppola, is a producer of ultra premium wines in the Napa Valley. The carefully selected items offered for sale in their tasting salon reflect an emphasis on global shopping, which is a perfect fit for Nankeen. Nankeen fuses traditional Chinese hand-printed cotton, perfected over many dynasties, with its own fresh styles, shapes, and linings.

“We are excited to have our products more readily available to consumers,” says Anne Page Designer and Co-Founder of the company. “It is really a touch/feel product because of the beautiful fabrics.” Page believes this move into boutiques will only boost the company’s success as it will be easier for customers to access the product.

Nankeen, which celebrates its first anniversary in April, has enjoyed steady growth over the past year. Online sales continue to rise, and the company has benefited from numerous media coverage. “People just tend to spark to the product once they have seen it,” says Page. Nankeen, which sells a variety of fashionable cotton accessories both for men and women, plans to expand into additional boutiques throughout the coming year. Each purchase of an item helps to save this endangered art form of soy paste resist, called “blue Nankeen.”
