Tour of Local Icon, The Historic Fort Harrison, to Take Place This Weekend

The Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization will host its next community tour of the Historic Fort Harrison on Saturday, October 28th, at 1:30 pm. Space is limited.

Clearwater, FL, October 27, 2017 --(PR.com)-- “The Fort Harrison, built in 1927, has a rich and colorful history,” said Amber Skjelset, the Manager of the Scientology Information Center and tour hostess. “It has hosted the local elite, national sports figures, World War II troops and rock legends.”

The Fort Harrison tour includes visiting one of the 220 guest rooms, the Crystal Ballroom with its chandelier of 11,000 Bohemian crystals, oval oak wood dance floor, Tea Lounge, board rooms, restaurants, gift shop and seeing the panoramic view of the inter-coastal water way.

“I’ve toured the Fort Harrison at least 5 times,” said Laurie a local resident.
“It’s so beautiful that I just keep coming back to visit it and bring new friends each time I come!”

Since its construction in 1927, the Fort Harrison has been the home for many community events and charitable organizations. The Fort Harrison's current owner, the Church of Scientology, has hosted over 500 community events there since a top-to-bottom restoration in 2009. The Scientology religion was founded by humanitarian and philosopher, L. Ron Hubbard, and incorporated in 1954.
