)-- David Jeans is an experienced attorney who is a partner at Ray, McChristian & Jeans, a Texas and New Mexico-based regional civil litigation firm. David has practiced primarily in the areas of medical malpractice defense, railroad litigation, insurance defense and commercial litigation.
David’s accomplishments speak to his expertise: he is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation; he is an AV Rated Attorney as designated by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory; he has been named one of the Best Lawyers in America – Litigation; and, impressively, has been named a Texas Super Lawyer each year from 2003-present.
David is active in his profession with a number of professional memberships and associations. He is a member of the Texas Association of Railroad Trial Lawyers, the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, and served as president of the Federal Bar Association for the Western Region of Texas. In addition, David disseminates his knowledge as a frequent speaker for the State Bar of Texas through its Professional Development Program and as a frequent speaker for local and regional organizations.
David earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Kansas in 1978. He garnered a number of awards and honors during law school, including: 1970 Champion, National Collegiate Debate Competition; 1977 Champion, Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition; and University of Kansas Law School Law Review.
