Vericen Sets Up 150-Seat BPO Facility in Manila, Philippines

Washington, DC, December 27, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Vericen, a Washington, D.C.-based IT firm, has launched a 150-seat BPO facility in Manila, Philippines in response to growing client demand for customer support outsourcing services.

Philippines continues to be a promising prospect for the BPO Industry. In November 2017, the Philippines hit an all-time high for employment in the BPO industry. From 101,000 workers in 2004, the labor force in the industry has grown to over 1.5 million by the third quarter of 2017.

BPO is highlighted by the Philippines Development Plan as among the 10 high potential and priority development areas. To further entice investors, government programs include different incentives such as tax holidays, tax exemptions, and simplified export and import procedures. Additionally, public sector-sponsored training is also available for BPO applicants.

The facility in the Philippines is part of Vericen's strategy of balanced-shore outsourcing — a combination of at-home, on-site, nearshore, onshore or offshore outsourcing solutions. In addition to the new Manila facility, Vericen employs more than 300 IT and customer service specialists in nearshore locations, such as Mexico City, to address the issue of schedule conflicts between service providers and U.S. clients.
