ThoughtBridge Gives to the Community

Atlanta, GA, February 28, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Since the company formed in 2004, ThoughtBridge has successfully implemented a community service initiative encouraging all employees to give back to the community. Participation in charity event activities, as the company refers to them, is well under way to help numerous charities, including TechBridge, Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels and the Ronald McDonald House (RMH). This announcement was made today by ThoughtBridge President and CEO Jim Straub.

The charities are chosen by a ThoughtBridge committee spearheaded by Straub, and coordination of the charity event activities are thoughtfully planned by company administrators. Here’s what ThoughtBridge and its employees are doing to help the community in 2008:

TechBridge: In 2008, ThoughtBridge became an event sponsor at the TechBridge annual fundraiser gala, the Digital Ball. The sponsorship enables TechBridge to deliver critical technology services and solutions to Atlanta nonprofits so that they may better serve the community. ThoughtBridge will continue its support of TechBridge as an event sponsor at this year's Digital Ball.

Atlanta Habitat for Humanity: A group of ThoughtBridge employees volunteered on an Atlanta Habitat for Humanity build site on “Day 1,” which included setting floor joints, laying floor decking, sheathing panels, running exterior and internal walls (tie, straighten and brace), and installing a front porch package. “We had an awesome time building two Habitat houses in the downtown Atlanta area,” remarked Straub. “We worked side-by-side with the two families that will occupy the homes. They, and I, where humbled by the 50 to 60 volunteers who came out to help us. I am excited about volunteering for our next house and possibly sponsoring a house in the future.” ThoughtBridge will continue to support Habitat for Humanity with commitments to volunteer in April and September.

Meals on Wheels: In partnership with Senior Services of North Fulton, ThoughtBridge employees deliver Meals on Wheels monthly to the Allen Road Senior Mid-Rise Apartments. “It’s so rewarding to spend a few minutes with these senior folks and see their faces light up when we leave them a hot meal plus a few frozen meals for the weekend,” stated Julie Whitford, account manager for ThoughtBridge. “I was raised to respect the elderly, and it’s a pleasure to serve in this small way and to give back to them. I’m thankful that I work at a place that also honors this principle of giving back to the community.”

Ronald McDonald House: At a ThoughtBridge company meeting in 2007, employees were given a small cardboard house to build. This house had a large opening on the roof for soda tops, soup rings and pet food tabs to be collected for the RMH Charities in Atlanta. Many employees were surprised to learn that since this national program started, more than $4 million has been collected. A small box from ThoughtBridge, equivalent to more than 15 small cardboard houses, was sent to RMH charities in Atlanta on July 13th, 2007. This year, ThoughtBridge plans to see an increase in its soda tops collection efforts that reflect the growth of the company.

Along with these activities, ThoughtBridge will be involved with the following charitable organizations throughout the course of 2008: Humane Society, Relay for Life/Cancer Walk and Adopt a Family. ThoughtBridge believes that participation in these charity event activities is the key to the company's mission to foster an environment that enables quality of life to its employees and customers, and gives back to the community.
