HealthUnlocked Welcomes Over 50 New Advocacy Organisations to the Network

More non profit and advocacy organisations join leading social network HealthUnlocked, further extending its reach globally and helping more people to access life changing support.

New York, NY, January 09, 2018 --(PR.com)-- HealthUnlocked has welcomed more than 50 non profit, advocacy and charity organisations to its network in the past year, extending its reach globally, and helping more people than ever before access resources that support them to better manage their own health condition.

HealthUnlocked is the largest social network for health in the world, and this year will work with these partners to extend its reach even further and provide more life changing support and information to people with or affected by health conditions.

Marc Singh Jones, director of partnerships and strategy at HealthUnlocked said, “We’re partnering with some of the most influential and supportive patient organisations in the world. Over 60% of people have never met a person with the same health condition as themselves before coming to HealthUnlocked, so not only are we changing this, but we’re able to work with our partners to open up their resources, support and information.

“These partnerships are incredibly valuable, and 2018 will bring about even more of these, in a way that will completely change people's experiences of living with health conditions, and the way our partners support people with chronic health conditions.”

Already in the first week of 2018, HealthUnlocked has welcomed both American Bone Health and a community for people with a cleft lip or palate to the platform.

Some of the communities, conditions and partners from the U.S and UK to join HealthUnlocked over the past year include:

Kidney disease: The National Kidney Foundation (US) have bought three communities to the network for people with the condition, kidney donors, people on dialysis and one for people waiting for or who have had a transplant.

Young adults with Melanoma: The Melanoma Research Foundation (US) community is a place where you can access peer to peer support from others affected by skin cancer, melanoma.
