Wichita, KS, January 16, 2018 --(PR.com
)-- Supporters of the U.S. President like to call CNN the "Fake News" network. But when it comes to top-quality hair, one CNN anchor may have the real thing. Erin Burnett is tied for the lead in "Crown Award" nominations from the celebrity hair website Super-Hair.Net, with three.
"Erin is no stranger to our website," said the webmaster of Super-Hair.Net. "Our 'Hair Fans' voted her the Best Hairstyle in Journalism in 2010, when she worked at CNBC. She's been second in that category two other times, most recently in 2015."
This time, the host of Outfront is in the running for not only Journalism, but Best Long Hair and Best Brunette. Burnett is matched with three nominations by Gohar Shahnazaryan, an Armenian social media star who's famous for extremely long hair.
Joining Burnett and Shahnazaryan in the top-level Best Long Hair category are Daniela Bobadilla of the TV comedy The Middle, Lea Michele of The Mayor and Polish-British Instagram star Angelika Maciag.
"This year's Crown Awards field is the most international we've ever had," the webmaster added. The candidates range from Australian TV host Deborah Knight and Dutch fashion blogger Stephanie Abu-Shieh to Brazilian "digital influencer" Aline Amaro and Myanmar musician Pann Ei Thyu. This occurs as Super-Hair.Net prepares for its own World Cup tournament later in the year.
British royalty-in-waiting could win a Crown, as Meghan Markle is also nominated for Best Brunette. Other well-known women on this year's ballot are actress Connie Britton, Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot and pop singer Ariana Grande.
Online voting for the Crown Award winners begins Tuesday, with three ballots rotating over several weeks. The Crowns are scheduled to be presented Sunday, March 18.
Super-Hair.Net has honored the top celebrity hairstyles of today and modern times for 18 years, through a mix of information and interactive competitions. The site has received more than 1.6 million visitors since its founding.
