Tennessee Certified Inventory Specialist Earns Appraisal Examiner Designation

Jenny Cossett, owner of Lighthouse Inventory Services, recently added Certified Appraisal Examiner (CAE) to her specialty services.

Nashville, TN, January 22, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Nationwide Inventory Professionals is pleased to announce that Licensee Jenny Cossett of Lighthouse Inventory Services has achieved her Certified Appraisal Examiner (CAE) designation. The purpose of a CAE designation is to establish recognition for this specialized service offered by home inventory professionals. This provides the opportunity for appraisal firms to locate certified, qualified examiners, and for inventory professionals to grow their businesses through additional revenue opportunities.

When completing an inventory service for residential and commercial clients, the inventory professional is often asked if they know the value of items, or if they can refer an appraiser. Cossett is now able to fill this request. Appraisal Examiners collect the information required by an appraiser to assign value, then submit the information to the participating appraiser. Additionally, appraisers can now contact Cossett, as a CAE, and confidently hire this service rather than travel to remote locations as required in the past. The result is faster response times and cost savings for the client.

Understanding the importance to pursue continuing education, Cossett chose to add this second industry educational achievement to her previously-earned Certified Inventory Specialist (CIS) designation through the National Inventory Certification Association (NICA). The CIS designation is an all-encompassing industry recognition while the CAE focuses specifically on the inventory professionals’ role serving the appraisal industry. To help ensure that each is prepared to serve this niche in a knowledgeable and professional manner, the CIS was a prerequisite to pursuing the Appraisal Examiner Certification. In addition to the Appraisal Examiner course, successful completion of the Customer Service course and an elective chosen from the NICA curriculum are also required.

Mike Hartman, owner of Nationwide Inventory Professionals, stated, “The industry is growing, and bringing this opportunity to the Licensees is what Nationwide Inventory Professionals is all about...helping them achieve success. We create marketing opportunities and connections so they can concentrate on building their business. Jenny sees the value in this expansion and is already prepared to serve as the state of Tennessee’s first Appraisal Examiner.”
