ARGI Once Again Named One of the Best Places to Work in Kentucky

ARGI Named One of the Best Places to Work in Kentucky for 7th Consecutive Year

Louisville, KY, January 25, 2018 --( ARGI, a Louisville based personal and business financial advisory firm, was recently named one of the 2018 Best Places to Work in Kentucky (BPTWKY) in the small-sized employer category*. This will be the seventh consecutive time ARGI has been recognized for this award.

Hosted by the Kentucky Society for Human Resources Management (KYSHRM) state council and the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, The Best Places to Work initiative celebrates its 14th year identifying and recognizing the best places of employment in Kentucky.

Companies across the Commonwealth participated in the two-part application process. Companies applying to BPTWKY must complete a detailed employee benefits and policies questionnaire, and an employee engagement and satisfaction survey, conducted by the independent research firm, Best Companies Group. The competition is a multi-year initiative designed to motivate companies in Kentucky to focus, measure and move their workplace environments toward excellence. The Best Places to Work in Kentucky initiative is based on FORTUNE magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work for in America” list.

To be considered for participation, companies have to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
· Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity
· Be a publicly or privately held business
· Have a facility in the state of Kentucky
· Have 15+ full and/or part-time permanent Kentucky employees
· Must be in business a minimum of 1 year

ARGI is one of 39 companies recognized in the small-sized employer category, and one of 100 companies recognized in the state. In 2017, ARGI grew its workforce by over 20%, and company leaders attribute that to not only company growth, but also to the company’s growing list of employee benefits including:
· Competitive benefits package
· Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP)
· Employee recognition and awards program
· Corporate social responsibility program, ARGI Gives
· New implemented professional development program, ARGI Spark!

“Our employees are the heart of our company, and it’s important for us to reward their dedication to ARGI – but it shouldn’t stop there. We want to ensure that our employees have the best opportunities and environment to grow in both their professional and personal lives,” explains Lauren Powell, MS-HRM, and HR Manager of ARGI. “Over the past year, ARGI has made strides to provide employees more avenues for professional development, specifically through our new internal program, ARGI SPARK!, a soft-skills program aimed at advancing our communications, relationships, and leadership capabilities in and outside the workplace. We see this investment in our employees as an investment in our company.”

“On behalf of the entire firm, I’m truly honored that ARGI has once again been recognized as one of Kentucky’s Best Places to Work,” said Joe Reeves, CFP®, and CEO of ARGI. “When I see firsthand the talent, hard work and dedication of our team members, I know we have held true to our core ideals. We have recently refocused our mission to improve every life – and that means ‘we before me’. I believe that putting our clients, our company and our team members before ourselves is one of the many qualities that helps ARGI to be continually recognized as a Best Place to Work.”

ARGI will be recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in Kentucky 14th Annual Awards Dinner on Tuesday, April 17. The final rankings will be announced at the event. The Best Places to Work in Kentucky Magazine, which recognizes the winners and their final rankings, will be released for statewide distribution at that time as well.
