American Eagle Paper Mills is committed to extending this excellent safety record. Ongoing safety initiatives include continual safety training for all employees, daily and monthly safety audits, on-the-floor safety talks, and enhanced visibility of safety reminders throughout the plant. Caleb Moses, Safety Specialist, said, “The Mill pays special attention to new employees, providing extensive new hire safety training, and identifies new workers with a high-visibility t-shirt, ensuring co-workers can identify and look out for the new employee during training.”
Steve Housler, Director of Environmental, Health and Safety noted, “Employees watch out for each other, and remind each other about safe work practices and the use of personal protective equipment” adding that, “together, we keep each other safe and healthy.”
To commemorate this accomplishment, the entire plant team celebrated with a lunch and received a shirt marking the milestone.
