NSC Floristry Students Show Off Their Talent for Valentine’s Day

Oswestry, United Kingdom, February 15, 2018 --(PR.com)-- North Shropshire College (NSC) Level 2 Floristry Certificate students, Linsay Farthing and Heulwen Morris-Haywood have been busy adding some extra colour to the Oswestry Campus in time for Valentine’s Day. With the support of Floristry tutor Eileen Avery-Scott, the vibrant Valentine’s themed display showcases a variety of floral arrangements including a spectacular compact floral collar and heart design which was created as part of the course.

In addition to the main display, the Level 2 Floristry Certificate students have put their entrepreneurial skills to good use, and have designed and organised the sale of Red Valentine’s Roses from the Oswestry Campus reception, starting at £1.50 for a single rose.

Eileen comments “This has been a really good opportunity for the students to demonstrate their window display skills in a realistic environment. It gives them an opportunity to develop skills that will benefit them immensely in the workplace after they have finished their studies with us. We are also planning to create another display for Mother’s Day which will enable further development of their creative talents.”
