Orlando, FL, February 16, 2018 --(PR.com
)-- Solvability® is hosting the third annual GovCon Summit on February 28 - March 1, 2018 at The Ballroom at Church Street 255 S. Garland Ave., Orlando, FL 32801. The theme for GovCon ‘18 is Targeting, Teaming and Tactics for GovCon Growth, focused on second-stage small businesses in federal contracting with strategies to win more prime contracts and increase your business value. Matchmaking sessions will be held with representatives from Army PEO-STRI, Navy NAWCTSD, SOCOM, NASA, the Small Business Administration and Florida Small Business Development Centers, as well as prime contractors.
The purpose of the 2-day Summit is to bring together Florida’s federal entrepreneurial ecosystem. This federal community includes agency and industry representatives from Orlando’s modeling and simulation industry, Tampa Bay’s Special Operations community, and the aerospace groups from Brevard County, making the I-4 Corridor into Florida’s Beltway. Keynote speakers for the Florida GovCon Summit include: Lt. Gen. Thomas L. Baptiste, USAF Ret., President and CEO of the National Center for Simulation; Bill “Roto” Reuter of R-Squared Solutions, and Jeff Piersall of SCB Marketing, who has just released his new book “Dogs Don’t Bark at Parked Cars,” about freedom through ethical capitalism.
Small businesses in federal contracting understand that you don’t “sell” to the federal government. You must find a way for the federal government to buy, in a market with a complex web of contracting rules called the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR.) The Florida GovCon Summit brings together subject matter experts in business development and capture, advanced research tools, GSA And VA Contracting, Prime Contract and Subcontract compliance, indirect rate strategies and business systems, DFARs cybersecurity, Joint Ventures, Partnering and Teaming, Operating OCONUS (overseas). There are several sessions related to Exit Strategy, including an optional Value Driver VIP Work with an Estimate of Value Report specifically for your company.
The Florida GovCon Summit includes a Veteran Connections Track. Key business leaders will share information for transitioning veterans who are job seekers in cyber, project management, modeling and simulation and data sciences, or veterans who are starting their own businesses.
