5LINX to Keep Headquarters (and All 35 Employees) in Downtown Rochester

Local marketing company 5LINX has signed a 5-year lease with the Harro East to keep their corporate headquarters and all 35 of its full-time employees in downtown Rochester.

Rochester, NY, February 21, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Local marketing company 5LINX has signed a 5-year lease with the Harro East to keep their corporate headquarters and all 35 of its full-time employees in downtown Rochester. The company will occupy the entire fourth floor of the historic building, best known for it’s fitness club and ballroom.

“We performed an exhaustive search for the right space, and considered numerous locations around Monroe County,” stated 5LINX COO Mike Gilbert. “Ultimately our best options were all downtown, and it’s really a win-win. Our employees really enjoy the vibrancy of being downtown, and at the same time there’s really no better value in the marketplace right now. We’re really excited to make this commitment to our staff and to the city.”

Founded in 2001, 5LINX markets a variety of products and services through a nationwide network of independent sales representatives. The company's Rochester employees support this sales team by providing the marketing, technology, operational and customer service infrastructure. The company has been recognized nine times on the Inc. 500/5000 list of Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies.

5LINX currently occupies the 8th floor of The Metropolitan (formerly Chase Tower), but needed to identify a long-term home due to changing space needs. “The Metropolitan has been a fantastic partner,” Gilbert explained. “Everything the folks at Gallina are doing with that building is first-class, and we have loved being part of the renaissance for two years. The growth and expansion of Datto in the building, as well as the conversion of the upper floors to residential has been great to see. But the floor plan just wasn’t the right fit for us going forward, so we needed to re-evaluate all our options. We ideally wanted to stay downtown, but we needed to consider several factors, including cost and convenience. When it all shook out, our best options were actually still in the center city. There are just so many unique options that foster an environment for creativity and productivity, and the Harro East really stood out for us. We couldn’t be more pleased.”

The company plans to move in to the Harro East by April 1, and is also considering hosting an upcoming National Convention in Rochester—possibly at the Harro East Ballroom.

These national events attract upwards of 1,500 visitors to the host city, filling local hotels over a 4-day period. “That is definitely on the table right now,” confirmed Gilbert. “We’d love to sell out every hotel room downtown and host an event right in our backyard."
