X12 Announces Partnership with PilotFish to Benefit X12 EDI Users Across Healthcare

Hartford, CT, February 24, 2018 --(PR.com)-- X12, the longstanding standards body that develops and maintains EDI and related standards, announced today that it has entered into a partnership agreement with Applied PilotFish Healthcare Integration (APHI) to license and redistribute artifacts of the X12 standard as a component of PilotFish’s eiConsole for X12 bundle. PilotFish is one of a select group of partners working alongside X12 under its new licensing program. PilotFish recognizes the critical role than X12 plays in supporting electronic data exchange (EDI) in healthcare and throughout the economy and is proud to work alongside the organization to advocate for the ongoing evolution and implementation of the standards.

X12 is an ANSI-accredited, consensus-based, non-profit organization focusing on the development, implementation and ongoing use of interoperable electronic data interchange standards. In healthcare and insurance, X12’s standards are not only vitally important to effective communication between trading partners, but also required per HIPAA regulations that mandate their use for several administrative business processes such as Health Care Claims and Payments.

Across supply chain, insurance, transportation and finance – X12 standards are ubiquitous. X12 has formed partnerships with PilotFish and other software and solution providers to ensure that these mission-critical standards are not only sustainably maintained, but that they also evolve to meet the ever-changing needs of modern business.

“At X12, we understand that the definition and maintenance of standards is only half the story. Even with mature and robust standards, X12 relies on an ecosystem of solution providers who facilitate the successful implementation of X12 transaction exchanges. PilotFish has a long history of promoting the adoption of standards and facilitating their effective use. This partnership better aligns our organizations and bolsters our respective abilities to deliver on our already complementary missions,” stated Cathy Sheppard, X12’s Executive Director. “We at X12 are excited about the opportunities this partnership opens up for both organizations.”

With the announcement of this partnership, PilotFish has also announced the upcoming availability of the eiConsole for X12 Bundle. This new offering is a marriage of PilotFish’s best-of-breed data transformation and mapping components with X12 standards artifacts, resulting in seamless and efficient parsing, mapping, validation and/or production of any X12 standards message.

“PilotFish is an expert in healthcare integration, a trusted adviser and innovation leader.
