About Distance Learning Media Events
DLM Events is the media and events arm of Austin-based Distance Learning Media, LLC. We are focused on continuing education, media production and professional development programming, providing certificate programs, content and curriculum for community colleges, state universities, small business development centers and city/state government agencies across the US in Canada and the UK. We also build train-the-trainer programs to help ensure consistency for multi-campus programming.

Our events and programming are typically designed to educate and train small business and nonprofit teams on industry-specific skills that are needed to find and keep a job in today's market. Everything can be learned in a live classroom setting or online. We also specialize in "soft skills" training - leadership, mentoring, communications, etiquette - some of the important skill sets that are often overlooked in traditional education but are much needed in the workplace. Our programs offer practical, usable information that helps people from any walk of life learn to produce or accomplish more with less time, money or energy. We help individuals and corporations make more money by helping to increase efficiency and to lower employee attrition.

DLM was founded by Julie and CJ Niehoff. Julie is the host of Small Biz Camp and is a celebrated speaker, author and marketing leader. The former Director of Education and Development for small business giant, Constant Contact, Julie is a recognized champion of small business and an advocate for nonprofits. In 2011, she was named a top small business influencer in the US by Small Biz Trends Magazine.
