AIM Names Zenoway 2018 Gilligan Award Winner

Pittsburgh, PA, March 16, 2018 --(PR.com)-- AIM, the trusted worldwide industry association for the automatic identification industry, providing unbiased information, educational resources and standards for nearly half a century, has announced another recipient of the 2018 AIM Awards, which honor excellence and outstanding achievement in the automatic identification and data capture industry.

Earlier today at a special ceremony during LogiMAT 2018 in Stuttgart, Germany, Zenoway – Zeno Track GmbH was named the winner of this year’s Gilligan Award. The Allan Gilligan Award was established in 2012 to honor a revolutionary developer of supply chain standards across multiple industries. The award is given to a member of the industry who has made outstanding contributions to the development of automatic identification and data communications (AIDC) applications in materials handling and logistics in the supply chain.

With its Zenoway brand, the company Zeno Track GmbH located in Vienna, Austria, has been successful in specializing in the development of driver assistance systems for manually operated forklifts for the past nine years. Based on real-time localization in inside and outside areas and combined with smart sensors, the Zenoway software-product portfolio offers a multitude of functions that help optimize intralogistics. These are ranging from the comprehensive analysis of vehicle fleets to detecting potential features that could be optimized, from automatic storage location identification to saving time and complex scanning processes up to automatic speed reduction in defined hazardous areas in order to avoid potentially dangerous situations. Thus, smart sensors, ingenious software and years of expertise help increase the safety in companies and automatic processes in the warehouse as well as positively influence working time and cost efficiency.

AIM's 2018 award winners are being announced at three separate industry events this year, with the first presentation held in Sunnyvale, California as part of Connections Summit 2018, hosted by AIM, NFC Forum and RAIN RFID Alliance. Today’s ceremony in Stuttgart at LogiMAT 2018 marks the second. In the coming weeks, AIM will reveal the remaining honorees at RFID Journal LIVE! 2018 in Orlando, Florida.
