Registration is open for Penn State University’s 22nd Annual Corrosion Short Course scheduled for June 10-15, 2018 at the University Park Campus in State College, PA (USA). Gamry Instruments will be a co-sponsor for the course.

Philadelphia, PA, March 18, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Registration is now open for the annual Penn State University Corrosion Short Course being held at the Penn State University Park Campus June 10-15th. The course, now in its 22nd year, will cover the fundamentals of corrosion and various electrochemical techniques. Lectures and laboratories will be used to illustrate how electrochemical techniques are applied, when they should be used, and how the various techniques can be integrated to solve complex problems.

If you are looking for a Corrosion Refresher Course or just entering the Corrosion Field this course, “Corrosion: Fundamentals and Experimental Methods,” will be useful. The course will cover the fundamentals of corrosion and various electrochemical techniques. Many of the short course activities will take place at The Atherton Hotel, located just one block from the University Park campus. A limited number of rooms have been set aside for the course dates, so book early and specify that you are with the Corrosion Group when making your room reservations to ensure you receive the special rate.

For more information and to register for the Corrosion Short Course, visit the Penn State Engineering Science and Mechanics website, https://sites.esm.psu.edu/wiki/research:bas13:corrosion_short_course. There is also additional information available at http://www.gamry.com/news-and-announcements.

Gamry Instruments designs and builds precision electrochemical instrumentation and is a proud co-sponsor of this event. A representative of Gamry will be on hand during the course to answer any questions you may have regarding their potentiostats and use for corrosion research. A Gamry Power Point Presentation “Care and Feeding of Computer-controlled Potentiostats” will be presented and is available for preview at https://www.gamry.com/news-and-announcements/general-news/corrosion-short-course-2018.
