Kitchen Tune-Up Announces the Opening of a Design Center in Frazer, Pennsylvania

The Kitchen Tune-Up franchise serving the Main Line of Philadelphia has expanded operations to include a design center at 391 Lancaster Ave in Frazer. An open house mix & mingle event on April 5, 2018 marks the official grand opening.

Aberdeen, SD, March 21, 2018 --(PR.com)-- When shipments for their customer’s kitchens threatened to overtake their own kitchen, living room, basement, and garage, Jeff and Penny Toren knew their home-based business needed a home of its own. The couple owns three Kitchen Tune-Up franchise territories serving the Main Line of Philadelphia, and they’ve opened a new design center located at 391 Lancaster Ave in Frazer. The new space showcases Kitchen Tune-Ups ability to revitalize and reuse the best of an existing kitchen, mix in missing functional features or style elements, and create a kitchen that looks and feels brand new – all with less time, cost, and mess than a traditional kitchen renovation.

April 5 Open House Marks Official Grand Opening
A Mix & Mingle Open House is being held from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on April 5, 2018. Along with music and locally sourced food and wine, the event will include a chance to talk kitchen trends with local owner Jeff Toren, and with Kitchen Tune-Up’s marketing director, Sarah Eisenbeisz, who is traveling from the company’s franchise Home Office in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

Reusing What Works = A New Kitchen with Less Time, Cost, and Mess
“The first thing people often say to us is, ‘I hate my kitchen. I want to gut it,’” Penny Toren said. “When I ask them what they hate, they often say everything. But then I’ll ask, ‘Do you hate the layout?’ and they’ll say something such as, ‘No, that’s fine. But I hate the color, and I don’t like where the fridge is.’” The first step to solving the problem is to drill down on what the problem really is, she said. Jeff is the kitchen solutions guy. He uses a customer’s likes and dislikes, functionality wish list, and physical condition of their cabinetry to determine which of Kitchen Tune-Up’s services are the right fit.

Leaving Corporate America
Jeff Toren left a corporate America technology sector job to launch their businesses. The Torens also own an iLoveKickboxing.com franchise in Jenkintown and have plans to open four more. For now, Penny continues to work in regulatory affairs for the pharmaceutical industry while also working on the business projects.

The Torens launched Kitchen Tune-Up Main Line in November 2015 after purchasing three franchise territories, and had a first year ranking among the most successful ever achieved by a new Kitchen Tune-Up location. Kitchen Tune-Up’s national Home Office awarded the Torens with the Rising Star Award for 2016. Their team’s kitchen transformations have also been recognized nationally by the franchise system, and they have received the national Project of the Month award three times during their first two years in business.

Kitchen Tune-Up Main Line now has six employees and has transformed 159 kitchens and counting. It will soon begin offering their proprietary wood restoration service to commercial customers from hotels to law firms, restoring any wood surface with the same techniques applied to kitchen cabinets.
