New GED Flash™ Tool To Provide Students With More Practice Questions and Immediate Feedback

GED Testing Service and Aztec Software Team Up to Deliver Groundbreaking Prep Tool.

Washington, DC, March 22, 2018 --(PR.com)-- According to a recent survey of GED® students, 75% report that they want access to more practice questions to help them prepare for the test. To meet that need GED Testing Service and Aztec Software have teamed up to launch GED Flash™.

GED Flash™ is a new online, interactive tool that functions similar to traditional flashcards, giving users the option to test their knowledge of GED test subjects with instant feedback. It will offer thousands of practice questions in each of the four GED test subjects, and is built to be easily used on students’ mobile devices.

The new tool will provide instant feedback on which questions students got right or wrong, giving the information they need to develop study plans and hone in on skills they need to improve to pass the test. GED Flash™ for Math is available now, with the other subjects (Science, Social Studies, and Reasoning Through Language Arts) to follow in the coming months.

“We created this product to engage more students in the testing process. Many students show interest in pursuing their GED credential but lack the confidence to persist. This tool shows them what to expect of the questions and provides immediate feedback, helping them see how much they already know,” said Randy Trask, president of GED Testing Service.

Practice tests and other study materials have been shown to boost the confidence of students starting the GED test prep process. Each time a student logs into GED Flash™ they will receive additional quiz questions. Students will learn which skills are most represented on each official GED subject test, helping to focus study and make study time most efficient. Students will receive immediate feedback after each question including the rationale for the correct answer.

Aztec Software, in consultation with GED Testing Service, developed the practice questions and answers for GED Flash™, leveraging nearly four decades of experience successfully working with adults to master academic content from low level ABE literacy and numeracy to college preparation in a digital environment.

Aztec is also launching a companion product—GED Flash for Organizations™—for use by institutions and organizations that are preparing learners for the GED test.

This product allows programs and instructors access to the same questions and answers available to individual students, with the addition of tracking and interpretive tools. Features include reports that show students’ time on task; data related to individual, class and organizational progress; the ability to assign content areas based upon individual or class needs; and, administrative dashboards that provide quick and easy access to information and tools.

“Working closely with GED Testing Service, we have produced another product that will increase student success rates by providing adult education teachers a new way to keep their students engaged in the learning process,” said Michael Kheyfets, chief operating officer of Aztec Software. “This new interactive practice environment can be used at any point in the learning process to bolster confidence, and review materials. We are confident that GED Flash™ will become an integral part of every GED preparation class.”

Having access to questions similar to those on the GED test, with the correct answers explained in a way students can understand, will help students commit to the testing process and keep their momentum. GED Flash™ is a study resource students and teachers can use at any point during their preparation journey, and can be accessed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from their mobile phone, tablet, or computer.

Independent learners can purchase GED Flash™ for Math through GED.com. It will be available on March 20 through www.aztecsoftware.com/GEDFlash for organizations—the other subjects will follow in the coming months. This video has more information about GED Flash™ for Math for independent learners.
