NSC to Hold Annual Skills Show

Oswestry, United Kingdom, March 22, 2018 --(PR.com)-- North Shropshire College (NSC) hair and beauty students have been busy preparing for their annual skills show, due to be held at the Oswestry Campus on the 28th March from 6pm. The event will showcase the talents of the Level 2 and Level 3 students from NSC’s Visage Salon, who will be producing themed images from zodiac signs, fantasy and horror.

Level 3 Media Make-up students Katie Moore and Charlie Barrow have already begun preparing for the show, with Katie practicing on the make up for a "Dead Gypsy Girl" piece.

Katie comments, "This is my third year taking part in the skills show, and it’s really good. It’s hard finding a theme that’s unique, but this year’s theme is really exciting."

Charlie adds, "We are going to be using a different range of techniques this year to create our pieces. We will use latex to create cuts and wounds."

In addition to the exciting works created by the students, there will also be a whole host of exciting activities throughout the evening. These include a floristry demonstration, live music, fashion show, and a cookery demonstration from Curtis Metcalfe. Guests will also be treated to an afternoon tea during the interval, which will be included in the ticket price of £12.

NSC will also be holding a Raffle during the event, with proceeds going to the not for profit social enterprise CHALK, who operate from their shop in Leg Street, Oswestry.
