Food Sector Opportunity Project - FSOP Spring 2018 Classes to Develop Food Businesses

This week-long class is designed to provide answers and information on all phases of food production from recipe creation, food safety issues to commercializing and marketing of a food product.

Taos, NM, March 22, 2018 --(PR.com)-- This 40th edition of the bi-yearly class offered by the Taos County Economic Development Corporation (New Mexico) to those interested in entering the food business sector is particularly important because of the new regulations and requirements. Curriculum includes history and culture of food, government regulations, product design, packaging and labeling, marketing and specialty foods presented by instructors from both the food industry, local, State and Federal government agencies. The course also presents an introduction to business development and planning to create a new entity or take an existing small business to the next level.

Classes are hands-on, interactive and practical and include viewing some of the current producers work in the commercial kitchen of the Taos Food Center, manufacturing shared facility of many local food businesses for over 30 years, facilitating leveraging people into successful businesses with little capital.
