ARGI Recognized by Ohio/Kentucky ESOP Association
Louisville, KY, March 29, 2018 --(PR.com)-- ARGI, a Louisville-based personal and business financial advisory firm, has been recognized as one of two finalists for the ESOP Company of the Year award by the Ohio/Kentucky Chapter of the ESOP Association. Senior Financial Advisor, Joe Tichenor, CFP®, was recognized as one of three finalists for Employee Owner of the Year.
According to the ESOP Association, the ESOP Company of the Year is a company that has a commitment to employee ownership, as evidenced by its involvement with The ESOP Association and its programs, its communications with employees, and its commitment to the Vision of The ESOP Association which endorses employee participation, wealth creation, and individual dignity and worth.
ARGI Holdings, Inc. (AHI) is privately held and was formed in 2015 when majority shareholders, Ron Butt and Joe Reeves decided to each sell 10% of their shares to the ESOP for a total ownership of 20%. Two years later, after a transaction as of December of 2017, the ESOP now owns 28% of ARGI. This decision reflects the “We Before Me” leadership attitude of ARGI, and the intent to put the employees first.

The ESOP Employee Owner of the Year award goes to an employee of an ESOP company who has taken the initiative to educate and motivate their colleagues about their company’s ESOP program, and to actively promote an employee-ownership culture.
