Somerset Breaks Ground in Washington, NC
Washington, NC, March 03, 2006 --(PR.com)-- An exciting new planned community is taking shape on the north side of Washington, NC. Somerset is a 209 home multi-use, traditional neighborhood community offering traditional southern-style single family patio homes and townhomes.

Named for the second Duke of Beaufort, Henry Somerset, namesake of Beaufort County, Somerset promises a lifestyle unlike any other in the area. With its Community Maintenance Program, residents will be free of yardwork chores, allowing them more spare time to pursue other interests.

Amenities at Somerset include rear alleyway service entries and garages, plenty of sidewalks, open green spaces, wooded areas, walking trails, and a Community Center, which will be ideal for community events for residents.

Somerset is being developed by Somerset, LLC, a team of construction, environmental, and development professionals dedicated to making Somerset a model of community planning and land stewardship.

Somerset, LLC is headed by developer Chris Furlough, a lifelong Beaufort County resident. “We are meeting a number of active adults who want to live in our community,” he explained, noting that downsizing from large homes has become a priority. “Many people don’t want to spend their time on maintenance and landscaping and we are very sensitive to that,” he said. “Our goal is to create a new type of community that will further enhance the quality of life for the residents of Washington, and for those moving here from around the country.”

Somerset sales are being handled by The Rich Company, and reservations are now being accepted for Phase 1.
