Applewood Our House Prepares to Open Fifth Memory Care Home

The assisted living community invites residents to feel at home again in its fifth memory care home.

Arvada, CO, April 14, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Families who are looking for a secure group home for a loved one that “feels like home again” will soon have a new option. Applewood Our House plans to open its fifth memory care home in Arvada in fall 2018.

“With a secure home, dietitian-created meals, frequent activities, care services specific to each resident and aging in place, we invite you to visit and see how your loved one can feel at home again at Applewood Our House,” says Alan Wyngarden. “Our staff members love the residents and treat them just like their own family. In every resident interaction, we act with kindness and compassion, setting a solid foundation for health, progress, comfort, and safety of residents.

“Our staff always makes a conscious effort to honor and value our residents, whether that means sitting with them and listening to their stories, or encouraging them to set the table and participate in the various inner-workings of the home,” Wyngarden continues. “Our team is genuine, accepting, caring, and takes great pride in getting heart-to-heart with residents daily.”

With sixteen private rooms, Applewood Our House V (6596 Garrison St., Arvada) was designed with residents in mind. It has spectacular views of the mountain range, from Pikes Peak to Longs Peak, and is surrounded by more than ½-acre yard with a walking path to enjoy the outdoors. Many other outdoor activities are located in the yard for the residents to enjoy.

The interior of the new home has an open floor plan with a great room for enjoyment and relaxation. The kitchen is at the heart of the house and features natural cherry cabinets, solid surface counter-tops, and stainless steel appliances.

Applewood Our House has 24/7 care for its residents. “The staff ratio allows us to spend more time with each resident and help them with things such as personal grooming and special foods,” says Wyngarden. “We can help people with severe behaviors and typically they do better once they live with us for a while.”
