Oklahoma City, OK, April 19, 2018 --(PR.com
)-- Healthy Cravings, an Oklahoma-based snack food company, is collaborating with one of the state's top brewers to create a limited edition beer inspired by one of its best-selling cookies.
Beginning this Friday, Prairie Artisan Ales OKC Taproom will begin serving a coconut macaroon flavored Imperial Stout. This craft beer was brewed with thirty pounds of Healthy Cravings' Vanilla Bean Coconut Macaroons. Imperial stout beers are known for their roasted, malty flavors, and both companies felt it would be a good match for pairing with this popular superfood cookie. Using nutrient-dense whole foods, the cookies are made with ingredients such as shredded coconut, finely ground almonds, and raw honey. All of these flavors work in harmony to create a one-of-a-kind local beer.
Head brewer Reed Jaskula and General Manager Greg Powell worked with Healthy Cravings owners Matt and Amy Gilson on the partnership. Only three barrels of this special release beer were made, so interested Oklahomans should drop by soon. "We are very excited about this collaboration with Prairie Artisan Ales! We are longtime fans of this family owned Oklahoma brewery. They offer the perfect beers to pair with our snacks," said Healthy Cravings co-owner, Amy Gilson.
The Prairie Artisan Ales OKC Taproom is located at 3 NE 8th Street, in the historic Automobile Alley district. Open seven days a week, beer is served from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm.
