)-- Much anticipated updates begin with a new home page format that supports up to 4 boxes, with a filter available allowing the width of the featured icon boxes to be altered. The featured post section on the home page can now include a custom number of recent posts; the featured posts on the home page will now display the custom excerpt if the post has one.
An exciting new feature is the scrolling menu bar. The new menu slider short code and the ability to add a menu slider to the homepage hero element will enable a sliding bar of links based on a WordPress menu. This is helpful for adding locations.
The recent updates feature some changes on the reviews section. A short code has been added, which can be used to display featured reviews, specific reviews, or random reviews anywhere on the site. As such, reviews now support the excerpt field, which will be displayed as the home page featured reviews content. This update enables YouTube videos to be displayed as part of the featured review content. Showcases, also, will now support the Excerpt field for Zapier integrations.
Other updates include three content blocks with vertical dividers for equal, customizable link text for reviews, the agent block, and the general content block buttons. On the social media end, LinkedIn and Google+ are now available for the BREW social sharing bar.
A new widget called After Content, which is displayed on all pages except the home page, uses the landing template and IDX wrappers. Select fields in "selectable" Showcase Category Box layouts use the custom box prefix filter as the prompt, if one is set. As such, team member customer excerpts will now appear below the photo and contact details on the Team archive.
Access to BREW options in admin is updated and is now restricted to editors or users with higher roles. As such, contributors or authors cannot edit things such as the hero element, company details, header & footer script, and other key details.
The new updates are now live on Ballen Real Estate Websites and are set to further the company's endeavor of creating a user friendly, lead generating website for BREW owners.
