NSC "Be a Keeper" Experience Proves a Hit with Visitors

Oswestry, United Kingdom, April 28, 2018 --(PR.com)-- North Shropshire College (NSC) is offering the chance for adults and children (from the age of seven) to "be a keeper for the day" at the Walford Campus. The experience days, which take place on the Animal Care Unit, are ideal for those who love animals or are wishing to experience something new. The College boasts over 100 different species of animals, and over 700 animals in total, giving visitors the chance to experience a variety of activities from feeding Meerkats, and learning about tropical fish, to handling snakes and rabbits.

Rebecca Walker, Independent Living Lecturer at NSC, who runs the experience days comments, “The ‘Be a Keeper’ days are a wonderful opportunity for visitors to find out more about our animal care facilities and the animals we look after. The day provides a unique opportunity to learn more about animal handling in a fun and safe environment.”

Isla and Ben Rothera, aged 10 and 11 were lucky enough to attend a recent "Be a Keeper" day and add, “This was such an incredible day, we really enjoyed ourselves and learned a lot about the animals at Walford.”

In addition to the "Be a Keeper" days, NSC are also offering the chance to book Animal House birthday parties at the campus. The parties are suitable for children of all ages, and facilities for large groups of up to twenty people are provided. There are a wide range of activities throughout the day, from party games to animal handling, guaranteeing a memorable and exciting experience for all. The College also offers a wide range of packages to suit birthday parties of differing types and costs.
