"Sonoran Fire" features world-renown percussionist Gumbi Ortiz.

Tucson, AZ, May 11, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Sean Damon, a solo recording artist who courageously battles ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease, has finished a new single, "Sonoran Fire," (a song of hope for ALS) that features world-renown percussionist Gumbi Ortiz and is scheduled for release on iTunes, May 31, 2018. All proceeds will be donated to the ALS Association Arizona chapter.

This project is much more than just releasing a good song for charity. It's about persevering with the true desire to live and give to others after repeatedly overcoming life's biggest uncontrollable challenges. Not just from being diagnosed with a progressive, untreatable illness, but living it without any type of love or family support, discovering betrayal along the way from those once closest to you, kicking you down, leaving you in disbelief and nothing left to lose. This song is about having the courage and fire to get back up and continue moving forward, digging deep into the pain and using it as leverage to overcome the impossible while creating something positive to help and inspire others through the powerful and positive emotions captured in this song as well as the story that inspired its creation. It's been a lifelong dream to record a song with the amazing legend percussionist, Gumbi Ortiz, who truly added authenticity and life to the song. Thanks to Gumbi's generous nature and artistic contribution, all proceeds from "Sonoran Fire" will be donated to The ALS Association Arizona chapter.

The orchard currently has a streaming preview of this new single, "Sonoran Fire," which features world renown percussionist Gumbi Ortiz from the Al Di Meola Group. "Sonoran Fire" is described as "a spicy taste of classic Santana served with some catchy melodies tastefully displayed in several different Latin tempos and intricate passages, with a side of ripping acoustic and electric guitar, leads on top" – take a listen here: https://promo.theorchard.com/KwZoAuQlXJkH4UxrCvac

Sean Damon's career as a solo artist came to life in Southern California in 1994 after being invited to deliver the Star Spangled Banner A-Capella for major sporting events at The Great Western Forum in Inglewood, CA. After gaining national exposure, Damon's first full-length solo CD, "Ballads from the Heart," was released in 1994 with Damon playing every instrument on the CD that received national distribution by music retail giants "Wherehouse" and "Blockbuster Music" independently selling thousands of copies from regular airplay and popularity. As an opera-trained vocalist, Damon displayed his diversity by combining ballads, rock, new age, and jazz. While continuing to sing the national anthems at The Forum for four years, Damon released his second full-length multi-genre CD, "The Art of Passion," in 1999, including fan favorites "Forever," "A Monsoon Memory," "When Souls Collide" and "Think Of Me." As a matured artist with 24 years of published work, "Sonoran Fire" is Damon's most intense, inspirational and cultured originals yet.
