KIB Teams with Crown Castle for "Connected by Good" Service Day - 33 Volunteers Painted at Trinity View Park

Irving, TX, May 12, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Take a drive through Trinity View Park and you will see vibrant yellow safety railings at the football fields, the results of a corporate service day project by Crown Castle employee volunteers who recently partnered with Keep Irving Beautiful. Headquartered in Houston, Crown Castle has offices around the country, including one in Irving, which all participated in the “Connected by Good” day of service. Irving’s team consisted of thirty-three volunteers who gathered at Trinity View Park to participate in a service project, which was painting metal safety railings at the football complex. Councilman Phil Riddle, whose District 4 includes the park, welcomed the group and thanked them for giving their time and effort to the project, and then the work began. After a total of 99 combined hours of service, which included prepping and applying a fresh coat of paint to safety fencing, they were able to complete the entire area, far exceeding expectations. The Parks Department provided paint supplies and logistic guidance for the project.

“It was a pleasure to welcome Crown Castle as new KIB volunteers,” said KIB Board Member Karen Harmon, “and it was an honor that they chose us as a community partner for their Connected by Good Day. What a difference they made here at Trinity View today, and this will be noticed and appreciated by the thousands of people who come to this facility, whether as players or spectators. This will really have a big impact, and we are very grateful to the Crown Castle volunteers.”
