The Teenpreneur Business Expo Paves the Way for Teen Girls to Start Businesses

Capital Heights, MD, May 21, 2018 --(PR.com)-- The Teenpreneur Business Expo, presented by My Girlfriend’s House, Inc, kicks off its fifth business showcase on May 26th, 2018 at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. This annual, one-day interactive event provides a platform for teen girls to compete for an opportunity to win seed capital and coaching to help get their business started.

Designed specifically for teen girls, the Teenpreneur Business Expo showcases the entrepreneurial potential of tomorrow's female business leaders with a hands-on approach to business development and management. Coming from communities where they have not been given the best opportunities; the Teenpreneur Business Expo provides a great opportunity for these girls to invest in their futures at an early age and set on a path that could completely change the dynamic of their lives.

“Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders, and effectively preparing them for success depends not only on what they learn but how they can incorporate their skills and passions into their future goals,” said Veronica Eyenga, Executive Director of My Girlfriend’s House. “The Teenpreneur Business Expo encourages students to follow their career ambitions by providing a foundation of business understanding and experience. These girls have worked hard coming up with their ideas, identifying effective marketing techniques and creating the perfect pitch. Now it’s time to show the world what they have.”

The girls will be presenting their businesses to the guests attending the expo and use their newfound marketing strategies to persuade them to “invest” in their companies. The girls with the most investments will advance to the Final Pitch round, which will be held on June 2nd, 2018, where they will have 10 minutes to pitch their businesses to a panel of judges, for the opportunity of winning a cash prize that can be used for start-up funding.

The Teenpreneur Business Expo will take place at the Washington Convention Center, located at 801 Mount Vernon Place, NW; Washington, DC 20001, on Saturday, May 26th from 10AM -5:30PM.
