KIB Teams with Acosta and Mosaic Volunteers for Paint Project - “Acosta Cares” Service Day at Trinity View Baseball Fields

Irving, TX, June 07, 2018 --(PR.com)-- For the past several years, the Acosta Sales and Marketing Company’s “Acosta Cares” volunteer team has worked with Keep Irving Beautiful on a project that makes a big impact at one of Irving’s many scenic parks. This year, 50 employee volunteers gave a combined 200 hours in a paint project at the Trinity View Baseball Complex. The project was originally scheduled for May 4, but due to heavy rains that day, the event was rescheduled to Friday, June 1. The Acosta Cares team was not deterred by the change of schedule and brought a “can-do” attitude to the Trinity View, ready to do whatever was needed to make the park shine. The group broke into teams and took on a variety of tasks at the fields. Some painted the black entry gates and fencing, while others applied a bright coat of yellow paint to the safety railings, the trim on the top of the dugouts, even foul poles and parking gates. After the work was done, the group enjoyed a cookout lunch, followed by a spirited game of kickball. City of Irving Parks staff provided materials and technical guidance for the project.

“Corporate service days are a great way for employees to give back to the community where they work, and also a nice break from the office routine and a chance to get to know people that they might not have interacted with otherwise,” said KIB Board Member Chuck Kirk. “KIB started its relationship with Mosaic Sales Solutions several years ago, with our original project being a cleanup at Trinity View Park. Since then, Mosaic became part of the Acosta family, and that has really strengthened this partnership. Acosta/Mosaic has a long history of serving the Irving community, including sponsoring the annual Blue Christmas gala for several years, so we are proud to be a part of their outreach efforts.”
