Following completing her Summa Cum Laude undergraduate degree in 1993 from the University of Texas in 1996 she also graduated with her Juris Doctorate degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in the same year of her graduation. Additionally, Deborah was admitted to the practice of law in Missouri in 1997 and in 2014 she was admitted to practice at the U.S Supreme Court. Deborah is now trained in both collaborative law and mediation. As a result, she is a highly respected mediator across the same Texas counties.

Deborah keeps up to date with industry developments through her memberships and affiliations to organizations such as the Texas Family Law Foundation, the Frisco Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar College, Denton County Bar Association and Missouri Bar.
