Green Sheep Water Becomes Certified as a Women-Owned Business

Through the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), Green Sheep Water is now a certified women-owned business.

Chicago, IL, June 13, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Green Sheep Water is proud to announce that is has been nationally certified as a women-owned business by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). After watching a documentary on ocean plastic pollution, founders Nicole Doucet and Jess Page launched Green Sheep Water in an effort to curb plastic bottle usage. As the CEO and COO, respectively, both women are actively involved in day-to-day management.

“We’re incredibly excited and honored to be a part of the WBENC community,” commented co-founder Jess Page. “This certification will create opportunities for us to work with larger organizations who understand and value having a more diverse supply chain.”

WBENC grants certification to businesses that are at least 51 percent owned by women. Certification involves a lengthy process that includes business review and inspection, in order to ensure that WBENC’s national standards for certification are completely satisfied.
