Thunder Energies (TNRG) Applies for Grant to the Department of Energy

Thunder Energies announces the completion and submission of a grant application to the Department of Energy - Office of Science (SC).

Tarpon Springs, FL, August 16, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Dr. Ruggero Santilli, CEO of Thunder Energies Corporation, a publicly traded company with stock symbol (OTCQB:TNRG), announces the completion and submission of a grant application to the Department of Energy - Office of Science (SC), for funding opportunity DE-FOA-0001820, titled: FY 2018 Continuation of Solicitation for the Office of Science Financial Assistance Program. Dr. Santilli states: "The Department of Energy, Office of Science's mission is to support scientific discoveries and major scientific methods to advance our understanding of nature, as well as to advance the energy, economic and national security of the United States. SC is the Nation’s largest Federal sponsor of basic research in the physical sciences and the lead Federal agency supporting fundamental scientific research for our Nation’s energy future. The grant application deals with research I initiated when I was at Harvard University under five contracts with the Department of Energy. We are seeking funding for the completion of these studies from the DOE that could potentially cover the entire cost of the Nuclear Weapons Detection Station (NWDS). We believe that this new grant opportunity is ideally suited for our technology, as it addresses an unmet need in the detection of fissionable nuclear materials. While waiting for the outcome of this very comprehensive grant submission, we have already started procuring equipment and supplies needed for the manufacturing portion of the development plan."
