)-- On the second day of the founders festival Bits & Pretzels, which takes place in Munich on September 30th – October 2nd, Nico Rosberg will talk about the future of mobility and his activities as an investor.
Starting as a kart driver at the age of six, Nico Rosberg successfully passed the Formula A, Formula 3 and GP2 Series before he earned his first Formula 1 cockpit at Williams in 2006. After 206 races, 57 podium finishes, winning 23 Grand-Prix and the World Championship in 2016, he announced his retirement from the sport.
After his successful racing career, Nico Rosberg became an active investor. In April 2018, he has become a shareholder and long-term investor in all-electric racing series Formula E.
Furthermore, he invested in several startups from the mobility and marketing sector, like SpaceX and Lyft.
Nico Rosberg is a brand ambassador for several national and international brands and has won several awards: In 2017, he won the "Laureus Breakthrough of the Year" award. The prize was granted to Rosberg for his outstanding achievement when he beat his teammate Lewis Hamilton to the world title after finishing second two years in a row.
In May 2018, Nico Rosberg has won his first award as a business person. He has been awarded as "GreenTec Entrepreneur of the Year" for his sustainable and long-term commitment as an entrepreneur and pioneer for innovative and green technologies.
