depression2extinction Announces New Executive Director

Amanda Gibbs joins the d2e team to eliminate the stigma of depression.

Austin, TX, July 08, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Last week, d2e, a non-profit on a mission to bring awareness to the stigma around depression by changing the way the world communicates, announced the hire of it’s new Executive Director, Amanda Gibbs.

Founder and Chairman of the Board Jeff Jackson (JJ) said, “We are so incredibly honored and excited to have Amanda joining the d2e team. With over 14 years of non-profit experience, she is a wealth of knowledge and will provide our organization with seasoned leadership and new opportunities to continue our already explosive growth in helping so many suffering.”

Of the new position, Amanda shared, "There are so many people struggling with depression; globally over 300 million. I am beyond excited to join a team that wants to not only eliminate the stigma that surrounds depression but also allows people to connect with themselves and each other and realize they are not alone. Our team is ready to help change lives all over the world and I am grateful to be a part of it."

Amanda has had a diverse experience working within non-profits over the years. Most recently working with Boys Town, Amanda helped lead the charge in development. She now is geared to bring her growth and experience to the d2e team.

With this new leadership, d2e seeks to deepen its roots and foundation as the organization launches its upcoming fundraising campaign, Take Flight.
