Bullying in Schools: Legal Issues & Practical Strategies

This session will provide immediate and effective interventions to prevent bullying that can be implemented across grade levels and settings. Speaker will also discuss how parents struggle with protecting their child from being bullied.

Hillsboro, OR, July 11, 2018 --( Edupliance announces a webinar titled, “Bullying in Schools: Legal Issues & Practical Strategies.” This webinar will help attendees to understand their child’s rights whether the child is bully or the victim, and how to protect their children. The event goes live on Thursday, July 12, from 01:00 PM to 02:00 PM, EST / 10 AM to 11:00 AM PST.

Bullying was once a silent epidemic which was endured by millions of children on a daily basis. Today, bullying in schools is being recognized as a public safety issue. This course is to help those involved in schools and education to understand the legal issues involved in school bullying and practical strategies for addressing this ongoing problem.

The 60-minute webinar will be conducted by Hope N. Kirsch & Lori Kirsch-Goodwin Hope N. Kirsch, M.A.(Ed.), Esq., is a licensed special education teacher and attorney having experience. She practices special education law at Kirsch-Goodwin & Kirsch, PLLC, representing K-12 and higher education students throughout Arizona in school-related matters including advocacy, Due Process, 504s, OCR, discipline and bullying.

Lori Kirsch-Goodwin, Esq., is a 30+ year litigation attorney whose practice is devoted to education and special education matters on behalf of students and their families. Lori has a Bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and her law degree from Bridgeport (now Quinnipiac) University.

• Bullying versus hazing, teasing, and assault
• Laws related to bullying of general education students
• Laws related to bullying and harassment of students with disabilities
• What parents can do when they suspect their child is being bullied
