Pastaria Big Shark Racing Team to Host Taming the Wolf

The pre-race event will take place Sat., July 28 from noon to 6:30 p.m. at Old Farm Winery near Eureka, MO.

St. Louis, MO, July 21, 2018 --(PR.com)-- The Pastaria Big Shark Racing Team, a St. Louis area competitive cycling group created by Big Shark Bicycling Company, is participating in the WolfRide as part of the “Community Sharks” initiative. The team is also giving back by hosting a special pre-race event on Sat., July 28 from noon to 6:30 p.m. at Old Farm Winery, located minutes away from Eureka in Catawissa, MO.

Taming the Wolf is a family-friendly fundraising event open to the public and benefits the Lupus Foundation of America - Heartland Chapter. It will be a day filled with music, food and drink, silent auction, 50/50 drawing, and fun activities for all ages. Early packet pickup for the WolfRide will be available, and anyone interested in participating in the ride may register at the event.

There is no cover charge to attend Taming the Wolf, but seating is limited, and bringing blankets and chairs is encouraged. Three musical acts will be featured throughout the day. Mark Moebeck with Mike Newman will be on stage beginning at 12:30 p.m.; Sean Rich will take the stage at 2:30 p.m., and local artist Stephanie Brickey will hit the stage at 4:30 p.m. You don’t have to be a cyclist or even ride a bike to enjoy the festivities.

Starting at 8 a.m., join area cyclists for a 20-mile social and training ride that begins at Keystone Technologies in Eureka and follows a scenic route before ending at Old Farm Winery to join the party.

Lupus is a mysterious autoimmune disease that is difficult to treat, difficult to diagnose, and challenging to fight. Since 1991, the Lupus WolfRide has been contributing to this fight through a cycling Gran Fondo fundraiser for the Lupus Foundation of America - Heartland Chapter. The event is held in Eureka, MO. and brings cyclists and communities together to raise awareness and, through contributions on behalf of the participating cyclists, raise money for the cause. These acts of selflessness and generosity have helped the 1.5 million Americans suffering from lupus manage the disease and live quality lives.
