)-- Gimme, maker of innovative unattended retail technology that provides executives with sales, cash, inventory and service data, arrived back in Atlanta this week from Emceeing and presenting at this year’s 13th annual Southeastern Vending Association Convention in Destin, Florida. Evan Jarecki, Co-Founder and VP of Sales, served as host and emcee at the conference, and Colleen Calahan, Director of Operations presented at the event.
The convention brings vending operators and suppliers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. As a whole, the SEVA operators represent over $400 million in sales volume, 1,500 routes and 60,000 machines. Jarecki hosted the 3 day convention which included networking events and educational sessions.
Calahan’s presentation helped attendees assess whether their operation is prepared for a change in technology, sharing numerous personal experiences within the industry to demonstrate how to best implement new technology and outlined how organizations are benefiting and overcoming challenges today with technology.
“SEVA 2018 was all about forward-thinking and spearheading the industry forward,” said Jarecki. “I love this topic, and felt that all presenters at SEVA 2018 delivered intriguing, high quality messages that any industry being changed by technology would benefit from hearing. It’s really exciting to hear that our industry is paying attention to changes in generational buying trends, creating partnerships between tech companies, and challenging the norm as it relates to convenience services — like with the explosive growth of micro markets. How far can our industry go when it comes to convenience? In my opinion, the sky's the limit."
