Community Leaders Strut for a Cause at Annual Fashions with Flair Charity Fundraiser

Clearwater, FL, September 22, 2018 --(PR.com)-- The Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV), a non-profit organization sponsored by the Church of Scientology, held their 15th Annual Fashions with Flair Silent Auction and Fashion Show, their most successful fashion show in over 10 years. The funds raised benefitted the Pinellas Sheriff’s Police Athletic League, the Children’s Home Network of Tampa Bay and CCV’s Winter Wonderland, the annual magical downtown holiday family festival which has served as a food and toy drive for 26 years.

Every year, the fashion show features prominent Tampa Bay ladies who are actively helping their community. This year’s models were: Bahiyyah Sadiki, Gibbs Academy teacher; Dr. Veronica Walters, Walters Academy for Entrepreneurship; Margaret Word Burnside, Co-Owner of the Tampa Bay Magazine; Susan Valdes, Hillsborough County School Board Member; Georgie Menke, Leadership Pinellas Chair; Amy Ronshausen, Drug-Free America Foundation; Pastor Mary Rieves; Kellie Lightbourn, former Mrs. USA; Joanne Lentino, Pinellas County School Board Member and Kendall Kirkham, host of “Great Day Live” TV show.

More than 300 people attended this year’s “Fashions with Flair” fundraiser. Among many sponsors, Pippa Pelure Boutique provided clothes that gave the models a definite flair as they strutted down the runway.

The Clearwater Community Volunteers, an organization inspired by L. Ron Hubbard’s precept “Love and Help Children” from The Way to Happiness have been doing just that for 25 years. They have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for children’s charities such as the Sheriff’s Youth Ranches, Nourish to Flourish Foundation and Shriners Hospital for Children Tampa and for their events: Clearwater’s Winter Wonderland and Ginormous Easter Egg Hunt have provided fun-filled family activities for thousands.
