Theivasanthi of International Research Center, Kalasalingam University (India) has been selected as a winner of the Publons 2018 Global Peer Review Award. It is a remarkable benchmark in her research as well as Kalasalingam University. According to Dr. Theivasanthi, "She has been conferred with an International award for her scientific contribution. She is very happy for this achievement. It makes her research contribution as world class. She is one of the World Top reviewers. It is her pride. Also, she said that she received the award achievement details from Publons on 13th September 2018 during the birthday celebration of the Lord Ganesh. It made her happier. On that day, she had conducted Nanotechnology workshop at Sree Narayana College, Kollam (India). She shared her happy with the students of that college by celebrating this achievement."
Dr. Theivasanthi, the research proposal reviewer of SERB (Department of Science & Technology, Government of India) said that Publons Peer Review Award recognizes and honors her. This international award honors the demonstration of her outstanding commitment in the field. It is issued annually by Publons (SCI organization - Clarivate Analytics- formerly Thomson Reuters) with support of leading scientific publishers: Springer-Nature, IOP, RSC, Cambridge, Oxford University, MDPI, SAGE and many leading publishers. In addition to do the research, it is essential for the researchers to demonstrate their contribution to the science. Publons is speeding up the research by harnessing the power of peer review.
Further, she said that during the Peer Review Week 2018, more than 6,000 experts have been honored as world-class peer reviewers and editors with Publons 2018 Global Peer Review Award. This cross-publisher award brings the top reviewers and editors who have gone above and beyond in improving the scholarly communication. This award celebrates the efforts of the top reviewers and editors worldwide. Also, this award celebrates the reviewers as the Sentinels of Science and Research, who tirelessly prove their unwavering commitment towards the quality and integrity of the scientific research communications.
Apart from the scientific field, she is contributing for women and societal development. Recently, she had been invited as Chief Guest and honored in the International Women's Day celebrated at Sri Parasakthi College for Women, Courtallam (Tamilnadu). The celebration had witnessed with the gathering of 4,000 women and created new world record. She had delivered motivational speech for the girl students. This meeting had expressed the development and power of women.
As the societal contribution, she has delivered 08 lectures related to nanotechnology and science communication for pubic in various places of Malaysia. She has given interviews in Minnal FM (Malaysia) and Bernama TV (Malaysia). As major scientific contributions in foreign countries, she has delivered lectures in Malaysian Health Ministry at Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia AIMST University.
Dr.Theivasanthi has already achieved some World Records in LIMCA Book of Records 2015 for the nanotechnology invention, World's first super-paramagnetic plants materials (Santhi Particles), World Record 2016 for innovative products (the World's lowest priced graphene & World's Smallest Particles of Vegetables for Diabetes) and World Record 2017 for the invention, The World's Smallest Antiviral Plant Particles. She has been nominated for the Padma Awards of the Government of India.
