Telgian’s Residential Fire Sprinkler Webinar Will be Held October 11

The Telgian Introduction to Residential Fire Sprinklers will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm Eastern (including 30 minutes of Q&A time).

This webinar will provide a basic understanding of NFPA 13R Standard for the Installation of Sprinklers in Low-Rise Residential Occupancies, NFPA 13D Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems in One- and Two-Family Dwellings and the International Residential Code Section P2904. The scope and general application of each document will be reviewed.

With the increase of multi-unit housing and the International Residential Code update requiring fire sprinklers in all residential structures, the use of residential fire sprinklers is rapidly growing. The protection of residential occupancies is unique with distinct requirements for the use and location of sprinklers.

- Explain the objectives of residential fire sprinkler protection.
- Learn the scope of NFPA 13R, NFPA 13D and the IRC.
- Understand the relationship between IRC Section P2904 and NFPA 13D.
- Describe the acceptable water supplies for residential systems.

About The Presenter
Tracey Bellamy, P.E., CFPS has more than 25 years’ experience in the fire protection community including all areas of the fire sprinkler industry. He has extensive experience with fire suppression system design, fire hazard analysis and fire protection system inspection and testing. He is licensed as a Professional Engineer in 49 U.S. states, District of Columbia and Guam and a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS). He serves on several NFPA technical and correlating committees including NFPA 13, 15, 16, 25, 30, 30B, 101 and 5000 (building code). Tracey is a member of ASCE, NFPA, and SFPE.
