“There’s a time when we need medical help,” Dr Jordan said. “But there are simple actions we can take, every day to stay healthy and minimize medical intervention.”

The book has simple lists, tools, and rituals that give readers a system to incorporate life-style changes into their lives.

His ideas about health were shaped by his experience living in eleven different countries, while serving in the military. During that time, he was interested in how healthy people stayed that way. His 16 year journey included serving multiple tours with the United States Air Force, in Iraq and Afghanistan. That led Dr. Jordan to achieve the rank of Captain but, he was still interested in health. So when he returned home, he became a doctor of chiropractic.

“Even in the poorest countries, I encountered people who were vibrant, healthy and full of life in old age,” the doctor said. “I saw the healthiest followed similar rituals across cultures. Now I’ve put that in book form for everyone.”

The book teaches readers about four daily rituals that the ultra healthy practice. Morning Ritual - for example - focuses on the key rituals that set-up the whole day. There are many scientific studies that support this conclusion, and a lot of current books on habits repeat this advice. What makes "Beyond Symptoms" different, is that the author focuses on health benefits of how powerful a few rituals can be, and how to integrate them into the reader’s life.
