Educational Bus Transportation Sponsors Local Friends of the Poor Walk/Run on Long Island

Spring Valley, NY, October 11, 2018 --(PR.com)-- To help make a difference for those living in poverty, Educational Bus Transportation recently sponsored the Friends of the Poor® Walk/Run in Bethpage, New York. According to organizers of the event, the Friends of the Poor® Walk/Run provides local Society of St. Vincent de Paul Conferences and Councils additional funds to help support their special work projects.

“At Educational Bus, we care deeply about the communities we serve in Nassau and Suffolk Counties,” explained Educational Bus Transportation President John Corr, Jr. “The children we transport to school each day come from every walk of life. Supporting groups like the United Way of Long Island and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul helps ensure that families in need receive the help they deserve. We’re proud of the role we play in making a positive difference on Long Island and thank our drivers and employees for participating in events such as the recent Friends of the Poor® Walk/Run.”

The Friends of the Poor® Walk/Run is a national event coordinated by the Development Team at the National Council of the United States Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
